Winter trekking: the Dolomites, the Defereggen mountains and more

Winter trekking in the Dolomites is quite an experience. The snow crunching under your foot, the sweeping white-coated clearings, the crisp, invigorating winter air – just brilliant! And what’s best is if you spend a holiday at the Plan de Corones, you have three magnificent mountain settings at your fingertips! The Dolomites today, the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina/Rieserfernergruppe tomorrow and maybe the Deferegger mountains the day after tomorrow. You will be spoilt for choice!

Our tip

Start right from the hotel on a toboggan ride on the Tesido/Taistner mountain pasture, or drive to the Val di Casies/Gsies for a walk to the romantic Kradorfer mountain pasture. If you love to go winter trekking in the Dolomites, don’t miss the chance for a tour on the snowy Prat Piazza/Plätzwiese in Braies/Prags!

To make your winter trekking tours even more pleasurable, we will be providing not only useful advice and valuable insider tips, but also a comprehensive equipment rental service: Toboggans, spikes for trekking shoes, hiking poles, rucksacks, water bottles, heart rate monitors, maps and more. And of course, our hiking guide Michael is ready to accompany you!
